We found a 1939 radio at a resale shop and it works! We decided The Eliza Ramsay Home is a perfect place for it to call its new home!

This is Burt Ramsay. The son of Eliza Ramsay. In Burt's estate, he set aside $50,000 for the construction of this home, naming it in the honor of his mother, Eliza Ramsay. Burt was a very successful jeweler, making his fortune in the Cleveland area, and donating his final honor to his mother. An honor that still stands to this day, over 100 years ago.

Back in July when we purchased this building, I was doing some research about it online and stumbled across some postcards from the 1930's (home was opened in 1925) that we thought were very cool so we bought them. The cool surprise came when they actually arrived. They weren't advertised as actual used postcards with messages on the back. So cool!

Hi Everyone! Our names are Jake & Abbey Adams. We live in Fremont and have many ties to the local area. We are the new proud owners of the Eliza Ramsay Home in Clyde, OH. We just wanted to introduce ourselves and say that we are happy to continue the great name and continue loving this iconic property and home that many have known over its 100 years of existence.
