Long before Chafowitz, there was a little girl known as the "Tiny Tiger Tamer." 🐅

This 1963 newspaper clipping features 3½-year-old me with two of three tiger cubs my father brought home to care for. At the time, he was the veterinarian for our local zoo, and the cubs needed a little extra help until their mother was ready to take over.

More than sixty years later, those early tiger memories inspired the creation of my new Eye of the Tiger Necklace. Handwoven with tiger eye gemstones, black Czech glass, and matte gold accents, it's a piece that celebrates confidence, adventure, and a touch of wild beauty.

Sometimes inspiration comes from the most unexpected places — even childhood memories.
