If you are looking to place an animal, looking for help for an animal, or trying to reach our office, please call the office at (315) 737-9339, M-F, 9am-4pm. Spring Farm CARES is home to about 250 animals - cats, rabbits, horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, ducks and chickens; as well as a 250 acre nature sanctuary. We are also a center for animal communication with world renowned animal communicator Dawn Hayman as one of the co-founders.
Chichi has been a champ in her hydrotherapy sessions! This is a perfect example of the type of care that your support makes possible. Because we specialize in taking in medically complex animals and giving them a home for life, we strive to provide them with the highest standard of care.
We are extremely lucky to have the help of the fantastic team at Village Veterinary Hospital's Rehabilitation Program, where Chichi is able to go regularly for rehab that will hopefully improve her mobility. Chichi came to us from Georgia with badly deformed hind legs and spinal issues, and after seeing many specialists, we have determined that we cannot do anything surgically to help her. However, activities like this can help strengthen the stronger of her back legs to help improve her walking, which will help her hips and the rest of her body operate better.

We want to give a big congratulations to our volunteer Faye on her graduation from Hamilton College today! 🎉🎓
Faye has been an incredibly dedicated volunteer who has made such a difference in the lives of our cats. In honor of her graduation, her family has dedicated a cat room to her! We are so grateful to Faye and her family for all of their support, and we wish her the best of luck in all of her post-graduate endeavors! ♥😻
Fox update! 🦊 You may remember a few weeks back when we shared a video of the wild Red fox kits who had been living in one of our unused goat sheds. Now, it appears that the foxes have made themselves at home right under the porch of Kigercat Hall!
Some of our staff got the rare opportunity to capture these amazing shots of the kits while keeping a safe distance. Despite all of the foot traffic going in and out of the Hall all day, the kits are obviously totally at ease here! The peaceful energy of Spring Farm CARES is also felt by the wild animals who coexist here, and clearly, mama fox knew that this would be a safe place to raise her babies. 🦊 ♥

Misty loves hanging out with her turtle friends, our Red-Eared Sliders Suzie and Sharon! Even though they are a bit of an unlikely trio, their bond definitely proves that friendship knows no species! 🐢🐈
