☀️Things we learned on a gorg walk at Putnam Memorial State Park in Redding yesterday…

🪨 This bigggg boulder isn’t just a rock - it’s an Ice Age traveler. Known as a glacial erratic, it was carried here by a massive glacier more than 15k years ago & left behind when the ice finally retreated. You can spot more glacial erratics like this along the park’s trail.

Revolutionary War soldiers camped here under General Israel Putnam during 1778–1779, and you can see the remains of lots of the stone chimney bases, called firebacks, along the trail.

Check out the park’s museum & visitor center. It’s one of those places where nature and history come together—catch a glimpse into both the Ice Age and the American Revolution in a single walk through the woods. 🌲🪨

🔥🧊 We tried the Fire & Ice Facial at .a.littlemedspa in North Canaan and now understand the hype! ✨

This “Red Carpet Facial” is a two-step glow-up: a resurfacing “Fire” mask exfoliates and smooths, followed by a cooling “Ice” mask to hydrate and calm. Hello, fresh, radiant, event-ready skin… even if our big night was just heading home to finish watching Off Campus 😆

Alicia & Meagan are the absolute sweetest - with their backgrounds as experienced nurses and master injectors, we felt so taken care of from start to finish!

Did you know? Our state flower, the mountain laurel, earned its title in 1907 thanks in part to a grassroots campaign led by more than 3,000 women across the state. To persuade lawmakers, they sent sprigs of mountain laurel to legislators’ desks, showcasing the beauty of this native shrub.

Depending on the weather, they can bloom for 2+ weeks. 🌸🍃
