π Itβs time for Transformation Tuesday!!! πͺβ¨
Today we are honoring our one and only yoga instructor....Megan Rowlands. π
Shes been a member here at CFBBC for 2 years! ποΈββοΈ During the time shes lost 15lbs and a pant size! ππ₯ Hereβs what she has to say about her journeyβ¦ π¬
βOver the past two years, Iβve implemented many changes. β¨ Iβve been motivated by other membersβ meal preps for the weeks ahead π₯ and we share recipes as well. π΄ I used to get somewhere between 50-60g of protein a day πͺ and thatβs increased to now I try to get as close to 100g or more. π₯π There was a challenge a few months ago about drinking 1/2 your weight in oz of water π§ and that was a huge game changer for me. π And lastly, my family got a puppy a year ago πΆ, so my steps have increased to 15k/a day. πΆββοΈπ
If I donβt get my fitbody session in, my whole day feels off. π
The FOMO is real! π As much as taking rest/recovery days are important π§ββοΈ, I feel the endorphin rush on the drive home from the gym. ππ¨ I love seeing the members- we dance, sing and laughβ¦all at 6am! ππΆπ Donβt give up! π― Think about how good you will feel when you leave. β¨
I feel excited to walk through the doors of CFBBC. πͺβ€οΈ The community is everything. π€ My family will tell you that my energy has increased significantly. β‘ My mood has improved as well! π I struggled with postpartum anxiety after the birth of my youngest almost 5 years ago. π It was healthier for me to get out of the house and try something new. π
Iβve always belonged to a gym since graduating college over 20 years ago. ποΈββοΈ Iβve learned that I am more focused and motivated working out in a group setting than doing Peloton in the basement by myself. π΄ββοΈ The coaches at CFBBC really want to see you succeed. π Example: I was talking to Coach Erica about how I can get more protein in my meals π³ and she shared recipes and had me increase meat in meals (even for breakfast) π₯ not just protein powders. Coach Amanda will encourage me to pick up heavier weights. ποΈ Coach Heather will remind me to check my form. βοΈ Itβs all good stuff. πͺ I am loving the new format and feel it has contributed to muscle growth. π₯
We have A LOT of fun in the morning- we support each other, laugh, sing, dance, twerk π¬π (the music is a vibe πΆ). I love how when a member does a high box jump π¦ or grabs the green kettlebell π, the whole class cheers. ππ We always have a blast when the coaches come up with different challenges. π― The yoga community is amazing crew. π§ββοΈβ¨ Iβve seen so much growth in the yogis and I get excited to see them every Sunday. β€οΈβ

π₯ Transformation Tuesday timeβ¦ π₯
This week letβs give it up to Jessica Loconti! ππ₯ Check out what she had to say below and her incredible 1-year transformation!! πͺβ¨
βI have been a member of the community for years now, starting at WFBBC in 2019. β€οΈ I have completely overhauled my lifestyle. Iβve made dedicated time for myself to get workouts in, incorporated walks πΆββοΈ and runs πββοΈ into my routine, and significantly changed my eating habits π₯.
Most importantly, Iβve shifted my mindset to see that life will have setbacks, but the goal is always to come back stronger. π― Approaching 50, Iβve also learned the vital importance of strength training ποΈββοΈ to maintain muscle and keep my body resilient.
Iβve learned that it is essential for proper mental health and emotional well-being π§ β€οΈ. Itβs no longer a βchoreβ for me; itβs a necessary time to recharge π so that I have the energy to be there for others when they need me.
Commit to consistency! β
My one regret is not being more consistent from the very start. There will always be times when it feels impossible to fit it in, but you have to make the time for yourself. β°
Beyond the physical changes from the workouts, I feel like a much stronger person πͺ. I have more energy β‘ and a much more positive outlook on my overall health and fitness. I feel motivated π.
Even after years of being a member and facing the occasional setback, walking through those doors makes me feel ready to conquer the workout π₯ and get back to being my healthiest self.
My family sees someone who is more energetic and capable β€οΈ. By prioritizing my health, Iβve become a stronger person for my family and friends.
In the past, I viewed working out as a chore or something I βhadβ to do. Now, I actually look forward to the classes π and love the way I feel afterward. It's a community and a support system π€, not just a place to lift weights.
The best moments are the classes themselvesβthe energy in the room β‘ and that feeling of accomplishment after finishing a tough session with everyone else.β π€
Way to go, Jessica! Your consistency, mindset, and dedication are truly inspiring! π
