πŸŽ‰ It’s time for Transformation Tuesday!!! πŸ’ͺ✨

Today we are honoring our one and only yoga instructor....Megan Rowlands. 🌟

Shes been a member here at CFBBC for 2 years! πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ During the time shes lost 15lbs and a pant size! πŸ‘–πŸ”₯ Here’s what she has to say about her journey… πŸ’¬

β€œOver the past two years, I’ve implemented many changes. ✨ I’ve been motivated by other members’ meal preps for the weeks ahead πŸ₯— and we share recipes as well. 🍴 I used to get somewhere between 50-60g of protein a day πŸ’ͺ and that’s increased to now I try to get as close to 100g or more. πŸ₯šπŸ— There was a challenge a few months ago about drinking 1/2 your weight in oz of water πŸ’§ and that was a huge game changer for me. πŸ™Œ And lastly, my family got a puppy a year ago 🐢, so my steps have increased to 15k/a day. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘Ÿ

If I don’t get my fitbody session in, my whole day feels off. πŸ˜… The FOMO is real! πŸ˜‚ As much as taking rest/recovery days are important πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ, I feel the endorphin rush on the drive home from the gym. πŸš—πŸ’¨ I love seeing the members- we dance, sing and laugh…all at 6am! πŸ’ƒπŸŽΆπŸ˜‚ Don’t give up! πŸ’― Think about how good you will feel when you leave. ✨

I feel excited to walk through the doors of CFBBC. πŸšͺ❀️ The community is everything. 🀝 My family will tell you that my energy has increased significantly. ⚑ My mood has improved as well! 😊 I struggled with postpartum anxiety after the birth of my youngest almost 5 years ago. πŸ’• It was healthier for me to get out of the house and try something new. 🌈

I’ve always belonged to a gym since graduating college over 20 years ago. πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ I’ve learned that I am more focused and motivated working out in a group setting than doing Peloton in the basement by myself. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈ The coaches at CFBBC really want to see you succeed. πŸ™Œ Example: I was talking to Coach Erica about how I can get more protein in my meals 🍳 and she shared recipes and had me increase meat in meals (even for breakfast) πŸ₯“ not just protein powders. Coach Amanda will encourage me to pick up heavier weights. πŸ‹οΈ Coach Heather will remind me to check my form. βœ”οΈ It’s all good stuff. πŸ’ͺ I am loving the new format and feel it has contributed to muscle growth. πŸ”₯

We have A LOT of fun in the morning- we support each other, laugh, sing, dance, twerk πŸ˜¬πŸ’ƒ (the music is a vibe 🎢). I love how when a member does a high box jump 🦘 or grabs the green kettlebell πŸ’š, the whole class cheers. πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ We always have a blast when the coaches come up with different challenges. πŸ’― The yoga community is amazing crew. πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈβœ¨ I’ve seen so much growth in the yogis and I get excited to see them every Sunday. ❀️”

β€œI have been a member of the community for years now, starting at WFBBC in 2019. ❀️ I have completely overhauled my lifestyle. I’ve made dedicated time for myself to get workouts in, incorporated walks πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ and runs πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ into my routine, and significantly changed my eating habits πŸ₯—.

Most importantly, I’ve shifted my mindset to see that life will have setbacks, but the goal is always to come back stronger. πŸ’― Approaching 50, I’ve also learned the vital importance of strength training πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ to maintain muscle and keep my body resilient.

I’ve learned that it is essential for proper mental health and emotional well-being 🧠❀️. It’s no longer a β€œchore” for me; it’s a necessary time to recharge πŸ”‹ so that I have the energy to be there for others when they need me.

Commit to consistency! βœ… My one regret is not being more consistent from the very start. There will always be times when it feels impossible to fit it in, but you have to make the time for yourself. ⏰

Beyond the physical changes from the workouts, I feel like a much stronger person πŸ’ͺ. I have more energy ⚑ and a much more positive outlook on my overall health and fitness. I feel motivated πŸ™Œ.

Even after years of being a member and facing the occasional setback, walking through those doors makes me feel ready to conquer the workout πŸ”₯ and get back to being my healthiest self.

My family sees someone who is more energetic and capable ❀️. By prioritizing my health, I’ve become a stronger person for my family and friends.

In the past, I viewed working out as a chore or something I β€œhad” to do. Now, I actually look forward to the classes πŸŽ‰ and love the way I feel afterward. It's a community and a support system 🀝, not just a place to lift weights.
