The August practice calendar has been posted in our SportsYou Group.

Happy summer day CMS 2026-2027 cheer squad families! I am working on a written digital calendar since I am having trouble getting my entries into the sports you calendar to stay correct.

Our first day of practice will be August 10th. (See sports you for times) If you can’t make it please let me know on Sports You but be aware that the state school sports board, MSHSAA, requires students to have 13 practices before they can participate in a game.

Fill my bow fundraiser money will also be due at this time. We will be using the money right away to buy your t-shirts, bows, and poms, so it is imperative that it is turned in between the 10th and the 13th.

Practices will be M-F daily at the same time following Aug 10th until after games begin, with the exception of Wednesday, August 12th (we will not have practice this day).

Way to go CHS Cheer! 15 of these amazing ladies were once part of CMS Cheer. We love seeing their success!

We were so excited to be given the award for The Best Youth Program at the OGD parade!

If you have an upcoming 6th grader who wants to join CMS cheer for 7th grade, she will need a physical for tryouts in the Spring. Physicals are good for 2 years.

Hey everyone, here is some information about the upcoming cheer boot camp days in June on Tuesday the 2nd, Thursday the 4th, and Monday the 8th.

If possible, girls should attend summer weights in the morning. (See Sorts You for details) I will pick up the girls after weights and we will walk to CMS. Girls should wear comfortable workout-type clothing and tennis shoes, and they should bring water and something to eat for lunch.

After we walk to CMS, we will eat lunch inside and rest for a bit. (If girls are unable to attend weights, but plan to come for the rest of the time, they should meet us at the middle school.)

During the day we will play team bonding games, practice cheers, and learn about social and life skills such as homework/class work time management, dealing with drama, being smart online, and character trait skills such as respect and responsibility.

We will have an afternoon snack and plan to finish between 5:15-5:30. (I think I said 6:30 before, but after thinking on it more, I think the day will be plenty long enough ending with 5:30.)

Thank you YEP and (not pictured-yet) Cardinal Booster club! With your assistance, we will be purchasing a new uniform set at the start of the 2026-2027 school year!

Reminder: For those that made the 2026-2027 CMS cheer squad, Parent/Guardian meeting in the CMS Library tonight, 6:00.

It’s imperative that the girls attend with an adult to get sizing for clothes and uniforms.
