A question came up in another group and i thought i might be a great discussion topic.

"In light of 1 timothy 3:1-6 and Titus 1:5-9, what happens when a minister obeys the scriptures and yet his wife (or kids) departs from the Lord (aposstasizes)?"

I should've clarified earlier, this group is for both pastors and nouthetic [biblical] counselors holding to the doctrines of grace...

What church are you all shepherding?

From a feppowship i was blessed to be a part of in KY. Godly men of reformed theology have a meal, scholarly discussion, prayer, sermon. We encouraged one another. We maturely gave our pastoral ministry blessings and difficulties. A truly edifying bi monthly coming together.
If you are interested, check out Kyle Reeder of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Benton KY, on SermonAudio. Have had some great talks with him. His theology is solid and he preaches like none Ive heard! Another from the group you should check out is Brian Sims. Another great man of God and solid preaching!
Heather accompanied me as my helpmate! She is not in ministry, as scripture is clear that men are elders and deacons. Just to clarify the reason a woman is there. Shes a blessing, helping me when i need (for any who dont know im in a chair). The guys were gracious and she was able to eat and even got the books from the giveaways! The best experience while in KY!
