I have been a finish carpenter for 12 years,
I am very experienced in all types of custom Carpentry work! Stairs are my favorite, though, can you tell?

Finished up a beautiful feature wall this week!

All the Beams up the wall, and the ceiling will be stained dark.
The slats in-between will all be painted grey.

It's a process to get all these gooseneck's made up!
But I sure do love the look of this sleek railing, and post.
When spindles go in, it looks amazing.

Been a busy few weeks over here!
This is yet another project I'm working on, in the mix of a few others.
This staircase is going to be gorgeous when it's done.
All hickory steps, posts, and railing.
Keeping everything covered to ensure it makes it to stain in good condition!
Doing all the railing, and upeasings this coming weekend, and will post an update!

A deck a did about 10 years ago! This one was a BEAUTY.
I loved the way the ceiling came out from the house

Master bedroom closet.
I just everything in this one, from the custom doors, and drawer faces, to the built-in cabinetry, and crown moulding.

This guy does a lot of shoppe work in his basement, he loves wood working, and had a LOT of heavy machinery he would be bringing up and down this staircase.

He wanted to know if I could reinforce the staircase to take more weight.

So I removed this old staircase, and replaced all the stringers with 2x12 LAM Beams, and bolted and adhesive it all to the top.
I doubled up OSB plywood for his steps, because he wanted a more "industrial look"

Let me tell you.. this was one heavy duty staircase...
Every step was EXACTLY the same height going up the flight... framers always seem to have a hard time keeping the rises consistent....

Weird how well things turn out, when you do it all yourself!
