🎳 What a wonderful day when our entire team gathered together at Spins Bowl Independence this week!

So far during the severe weather this month, we have served 12 extra women and children in cold weather overflow at Laura's Home. ❄️

💕 We are so blessed to provide safety from the freezing cold with a warm bed and meals each day, in addition to the care we offer to 130 residents at Laura's Home.

Thanks to our new Rothstein Village Transitional Housing for Families, we will continue to grow the ways we can serve women and children experiencing homelessness in our city. 🏠

🥳 On January 9, we celebrated the completion of Rothstein Village Transitional Housing for Families, Cleveland’s first and only Transitional Housing for women and children!

These 16 units will safely house Laura's Home graduates, giving them the gift of time as they save and build up their income while continuing to receive access to supportive services for themselves and their children. 🏘️

“Coming from extreme crises and significant trauma, the families we serve at Laura’s Home overcome so much. By moving into Rothstein Village Transitional Housing, mothers are given time to build their income, a vital step needed to obtain safe, affordable housing with the ultimate goal of homeownership. We are setting up each family for success,” said Linda Uveges, Chief Executive Officer.

This project was a labor of love, with more than 500 donors coming alongside this project, and Dr. Fred and Jackie Rothstein making the dream a reality with their $1.5 million lead gift! 💝

❤️ A Laura's Home graduate and incredible mother of six, Bridget, sits down with Katie Ussin to share what moving into Rothstein Village Transitional Housing means for her family.

"Me as your mom, I'm going to always be there, through thick and thin," she shares.

During the tour of these new units, she showed the washer & dryer and said with joy, "I could just cry."

Fully-employed and one of the first families set to move into Rothstein Village Transitional Housing, we are so proud of Bridget and her hard work! 👏

Laura's Home holds ribbon-cutting ceremony for new transitional housing A year and a half ago, we promised to follow through on a first for Cleveland: New transitional housing for mothers and children at Laura’s Home on the city’s West Side.

Crossroads Men's Crisis Center and Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center have now begun cold weather overflow, welcoming all unsheltered men, women and children in from the cold. ❄️
