OH, CLEVELAND! Tony Award winner J. Harrison Ghee (Mary Todd Lincoln) will lead the cast of OH, MARY! at Playhouse Square. 👏
Declared “one of the best comedies in years” by The New York Times, Oh, Mary! is about a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, examined through the lens of an idiot (playwright Cole Escola).

To celebrate Disney's The Lion King returning to Playhouse Square, talented animation students from the Cleveland Institute of Art created a one-of-a-kind Marquee Moment inspired by the iconic musical and the heart of Cleveland.
Featuring familiar landmarks like the Playhouse Square Chandelier, the Guardians of Traffic, and the Cleveland skyline, this immersive animation transforms our district into a spectacular celebration of storytelling, art, and community.
Catch the two-minute Marquee Moment each evening and before matinee performances through August 16.
A huge thank you to the incredible students and faculty at Cleveland Institute of Art for bringing this unforgettable collaboration to life. 💛

We had a blast at yesterday’s Cleveland Guardians game as the magic of Disney’s THE LION KING took over the ballpark! ⚾️🦁
Robb Sapp (Ed) gave us a wonderful rendition of the National Anthem, while Peter Hargrave (Scar) showed off his arm with the ceremonial first pitch before the game.

We recently welcomed Girl Scouts of North East Ohio to Playhouse Square for a special Girl Scout Extravaganza Day celebrating Disney's The Lion King - Musical! 🦁
Scouts took part in hands-on workshops inspired by the show, exploring creativity, culture, and storytelling through movement, music and arts and crafts before experiencing the magic of this six-time Tony Award-winning musical live on stage.
Thank you to all of the Girl Scouts, troop leaders, and volunteers who joined us for such a fun and memorable day. We loved seeing your excitement and hope you'll visit us again soon! ✨
