Peter Hook & The Light return to North America this week, with their latest 24 date tour kicking off this Saturday in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Hooky & his band will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of New Order’s ‘Get Ready’ album by performing it live, followed by a full second set packed with both Joy Division & New Order classics.

13 August 2001: New Order released ‘Crystal’ in the UK – their first single in eight years – and described as “the return of a band that knows that the music industry has missed it” by Drowned In Sound.
The accompanying music video was directed by Johan Renck, who would go on to win an Emmy and a BAFTA for his work on the TV drama Chernobyl, as well as direct episodes of Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and the David Bowie videos ‘Blackstar’ and ‘Lazarus’.
25 years on, ‘Crystal’ remains a piece of evolving history that at the time was a meeting of minds and helped launch an entirely different band (the video features a fictional band called The Killers) and sits in the filmography of one of today’s most acclaimed directors.
Physical release artwork was designed by Peter Saville, featuring Juergen Teller's photography of German actress/model/musician Coco (Nicolette Krebitz).

Today, 18 July 2026, marks 25 years since Phil Cunningham made his live debut with the band. From his first live performance at Liverpool Olympia and now across more than two decades performing at Sydney Opera House, Hollywood Bowl, The O2, Coachella, Glastonbury and countless other festival gigs and headline arena shows, Phil has stood on the world's biggest stages and been unwavering in creating and introducing New Order's music to new generations and honouring the iconic catalogue. He has become an essential part of the band's evolving sound and one of its longest-serving members.
So here's to Phil, part of New Order's continuing history, and may every backstage rider continue to include his preferred choice of cider and Vin Rouge. Thanks Phil!
‘The Best & The Rest Of New Order’ is released today, 17 July 2026.
Bringing together – for the first time ever – the band’s acclaimed compilations ‘The Best Of New Order’ and ‘The Rest Of New Order’, the new collection features fully remastered audio alongside an expansive selection of remixes, featuring many previously unreleased, including Sub Sub, Richie Hawtin and Joe T. Vannelli.
Both albums will also be released as separate vinyl formats with remastered audio cut at Abbey Road. In addition, The Rest Of New Order is now available in a 3LP set and compiles all 12 songs from the CD and original vinyl release for the first time.
