Playful Polymers is a page dedicated to the things I make using polymer clay. I'll also showcase any table-top RPG minis I paint here as well.

I soon plan to open up commissions, so keep an eye out.

Have a random late night post ya'll. I love sculpting anatomical hearts. My biggest regret with this piece is I should have stopped painting it when I reached the second photo. But I wanted to name it look like it was still in the body cavity covered in blood. I definitely over glazed.

Blocking out my current WIP. I'm making a Corvid pendant. I love BIRDS! Corvids are one of my favorites. Parrots, Corvids and Owls, top-tier birds.

I also have another project starting, but it is SO rough 😫 I'm not ready to show him yet. But I'll hint that he loves "Kabooms".

Finally finished my Panda! He had some trouble during the baking process, but you would never know (because I'm a perfectionist and fixed him). He turned out wonderful! Hopefully his new owner loves him as much as I do. He is to live in a bonsai tree pot, and that makes me happy.

So here he is. He is still not quite finished, but he is very close. Isn't he adorable? I bet ya'll can figure out what he is now. If you are still stumped, the moment he us painted you'll know for sure.

Sometime you have to go through a LOT of trial and error to get the results you want. Like a TON! This was the first few attempts at a certain animal for a friend's birthday. Now this friend is going through a REALLY tough time, so I'm giving her the BEST I can do at my current sculpting level. Can anyone guess what creature he is?

My next post will show how my sculpt's base looks and also pictures of his current progress. You'll be amazed at his transformation! I certainty am.

Tis the season! I am on surgery recovery and finally had a bit of time and energy to craft again πŸ™Œ My partner had to do a white elephant exchange so I decided to sculpt a cute ornament that he could bring in for the exchange. I was told it was a smash hit ☺️ and the new owner named it after me. I love when others enjoy my art, so hearing it was given my name warmed my heart. Happy holidays everyone, remember to tell those important to you, you love them.

It funny, sometimes I remember I should actually update my Instagram every now and then. Even if it is with old work that I've done.

Plus it is a really cute piece. I think I need to do an updated one day. Now that I know some better painting techniques.

I love when I get to work with my mica powders. They always make such pretty results.

Man, I love finding an old project I forgot in the clay oven! If you know what this is take a guess in the comments. It is a bit obscure; in my opinion lol.

I have someone big in the making! It involves a staff and runes and a familiar to boot! I'm posting my test staff to get you all as hyped as I am. I'm going to experiment a bit with the runes, I feel like they aren't visible enough.

So I have begun a new hobby/hobby adjacent to what I already do. I'm starting to learn to truly play with resin (starting with UV resin) I've always wanted to make unique eyes for my sculpts, or encapsulate small polymer clay charms and one day I want to cast my works to sell multiples.

For now, I am still learning. And although I already see where I need to improve, I'm happy with my results. (^β€’-β€’^)

Because I have yet to post this here (insatagram) and the gift has been received by the true owner. It was commissioned as a wedding gift.
