While planning activities looks like all fun and games, we know that there is so much more that goes into it. Our Activity Directors are required to be licensed, must maintain CEUs, develop programming and planning for multiple levels of functioning, constantly come up with new ideas, and, of course, know how to call bingo! Our Activity Directors and Assistants are a key part in maintaining your loved ones quality of life and often work closely with therapy to help attain physical goals as well. So, while we agree they are indeed the "party people", we know that they are also so much more, and this week we celebrate them!

Our Victoria House Assisted Living facility just completed its phenomenal 6th consecutive deficiency free annual survey!!! Congratulations, Team Victoria House!! Your hard work and dedication shows!!

Congratulations, Alison!

This is Alison Music. Alison started with us as an STNA. Then she went to nursing school and became an LPN. She could have stopped there, but no! Alison continued her education and just passed the boards to become an RN! We are incredibly proud of Alison and her accomplishments! We wouldn’t be at all surprised if she one day takes over as Medical Director at the facility. Congratulations, Alison, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your incredible journey in long term care!

It’s almost time!!!

A picture is worth a thousand words? We think this one is worth so much more. The handsome fellow there is one of our nurses, Joel. Joel is absolutely adored by residents, family and colleagues. And for good reason. He is everything you could ever want in a nurse. The care, comfort and compassion he provides every single day is not only immeasurable, it is unforgettable. Which brings us back to the picture. Another healthcare provider came to our facility today to thank Joel for the care he provided to one of their patients because the family simply couldn’t stop talking about the superior care Victoria House, and specifically, Joel, provided. Joel took it all in stride, because, well, to him, that’s just him being him. Oh, that lady behind Joel? That’s his mom. Yes. His mom. Joel’s mom volunteers at the facility every week providing her own brand of comfort to our memory care residents. Guess that apple didn’t fall far. Congratulations, Joel. And, you too, Joel’s mom. We are proud to have both of you as part of our family.
