You’re never too old to make changes to your sleep. 😴
Parents will ask me if it’s “too late” to sleep train their … 10 month old, 2yr old, 4yr old, etc. and the Answer is NO! Even as an adult, It’s NEVER TOO LATE. 🙌🏼

💐Happy Mother’s Day! 💐
Today is all about reminding mothers and their children just how awesome mothers are. So please excuse me while I go wash dishes, do laundry, change diapers, prep food, kiss booboos, lose my patience more than a few times, do nap time and bedtime, and then work on business stuff after the kids are 😴 ... ✌️ wouldn’t trade these tasks for the 🌎.❤️

Watching other parents do their thing looks so easy... then you have your own and you learn quick it’s NOT EASY AT ALL! 😂 Please know that you are not alone. Reach out for help and support when you need it.
Sometimes it’s uncomfortable to ask for help but just remember that one day you’ll be able to reciprocate 😇 for your friend, neighbor, sibling, cousin... RECEIVING now means you can GIVE later ❤️ Tag or share with someone who needs to hear this 🙌🏼

SIBLINGS - sleep hiccups are very common with toddlers who are expecting a new sibling 🤰. Parents typically expect the issues to start after birth BUT those smart 🤓 toddlers can sense the change and uncertainty even before the 👶🏼 arrival! Children of all ages are SO connected to parents’ emotions that they can sense when ANYTHING is different or “off” 🧐.
A few things to help the situation:
1️⃣Prepare! According to your child’s level of understanding, have lots of conversations. Emphasize that your love will not change and that now he/she gets to be extra special as the role of big bro or sis! There are great books out there that help too! DM me for recommendations.
2️⃣Involvement- find ways your child can get involved with preparing or helping right after the birth. Getting diapers for you, grabbing a spit up cloth when needed, helping you choose baby’s outfit, etc.
3️⃣Alone Time- designate 10-15 minutes of undivided attention from BOTH parents separately. No 📱, no 👶🏼... just YOU and big bro/sis!

Sleep Environment is step 1️⃣ to good sleep! If you’ve got a child that doesn’t enjoy bedtime, start by making sure their room is SUPER cozy!! 🧘♀️🧘♂️
After I got for my kids they 🏃 FAST and look forward to their beds every night. Swipe left to see their room😉(I’m no photographer 😂). The ideal sleep-space for a child consists of the following:
1️⃣Comfort - no need for luxury, but don’t go cheap on a mattress and bedding
2️⃣Calm - colors should be calm tones. Avoid Red. Minimal stimulation (limited toys in the room). Overstimulation is a sleep killer!
3️⃣Safe - Make sure there are no choking or fire hazards. Put up a rail if your child has ever fallen out of bed. NEVER lock a child’s bedroom door from the outside!
4️⃣Dark - no screen zone 📵, blackout shades can help (especially in spring/summer). Darkness brings on Melatonin production! 👌🏻
5️⃣Relaxing- mimic a 🧖♀️ spa! White noise, calming music, lavender oil diffuser, cozy stuffed animals to snuggle with ...are just a few examples.

8 hours early but... 🥳Happy New Year! 2020 was different than anyone could have expected. Our family is used to traveling ✈️ a lot, visiting family, getting out of the house daily.
My husband and I celebrated our 10th 🎊wedding anniversary in quarantine. We had always imagined leaving the kids and going on some exotic vacation. 🌅
We sold our 🏠, left our friends, picked up our lives and moved to a whole other state. But despite all that’s happened and changed I have to say that I’m glad to have had extra quality time with my husband and kids. I think this year of the pandemic has taught us to appreciate what we have in our daily lives that we may have been taking for granted.
🥂Cheers to 2021! And Happy Birthday 🎂 to me! May it be a year of health and hope for all!
