Last Friday, Mechatronics took a field trip to Cleveland State Community College to work with their FESTO Hydraulic trainers. Students were learning about how fluid flows through a closed system, metering extensions and retractions from directional control valves to double acting cylinders and much more! Thanks for having us CSCC!

What a fast‑paced and exciting first week back from spring break! We’ve welcomed several Cleveland State students in the mornings to help keep them on track during a staffing transition, and our high schoolers were thrilled to be tackling the same college‑level coursework—putting them one step closer to college certificate before graduation.
This week, we wrapped up our Allen‑Bradley PLC units and are gearing up to dive into Siemens next. We’ve also shifted from pneumatics to hydraulics for the remainder of the year, and students are absolutely loving the hands‑on, real‑world experience they’re getting at PIE.
