Wow there’s so much I can say, but I am forever thankful to be your grandson. I dream to be the person you are one day, impacting the lives of the people in my community and anyone I come into contact with.
To be kind and compassionate. Ultimately to be as fierce, determined, and influential. You’ll forever live through me 💙 @ Cleveland, Ohio

Last week I was privileged to coach AAU summer program 15u. We made our way down to Columbus for The Nike Series Championship. This was our final tournament for the season, so it was a bittersweet moment. We ended up finishing with a record of 3-1. The effort, toughness, and ability to be coached was a major factor in having the success that we had. I’d like to first thank the parents who believed in me to not only coach but to be an example, mentor, and even a friend. Also, to the players, I forever appreciate you for allowing this to be a learning experience for myself, pushing me to be a better version of myself, and ultimately bringing purpose to life. I’ve learned so much about myself in a short period of time. As the season comes to an end that only means the real grind starts now. I look forward to continuing to be an impactful person in each of your lives and continue to contribute to the growth and development that’s taking place. Remember if you ever need anything, I’m here...anytime and anyplace I got you.

Special thanks to all of our donors and contributors, for helping provide this opportunity and experience for our youth. Allowing them to develop and find their identities through experiences, travel, and interaction with other people from all over. To continue to be able to provide experiences and programs as such we need more people who are willing to support the cause and mission of who we strive to become. If you or anyone you may know may be interested in learning more about what Kids of Cleveland Youth Organization are all about please reach out to me with no hesitation.

Also, special shout to aka Young Mogul, for putting together a highlight recap of out final tournament. You can check the video out at this link: https://youtu.be/GBKgtAu7sEA PLEASE, go check it out, like the video and hit that subscribe button!

Two weeks ago, I was blessed enough to have ZENworks Yoga send out one of their finest instructors to teach a class for Kids of Cleveland Youth Organization. While working closely with the youth I've noticed how overstimulated and stressed they were... whether it was from the pressures at home or other environments. I wanted to be able to introduce and provide them a chance to reenergize and refocus. Instructor Raun Credible showed our kids basic yoga poses and breathing techniques that can be used throughout the day as a break. This opportunity has allowed our kids to develop strength, flexibility balance, and stamina. Along with social development, giving them the ability to interact positively with peers and teachers. The practice helped developed the ability to apply yoga practices to other life situations and share with others. Finally, emotionally the kids were able to develop the ability to communicate needs and emotions effectively. I want to thank Raun Credible and ZENworks Yoga for providing this priceless practice.

Last night we held our weekly KOC workout/training sessions and I couldn't be more proud of everyone there. As we go through our journey of life we'll encounter moments and instances when things get extremely tough. When we feel like we can't bare the weight of the challenges God is throwing at us. At these points in time it is important that we focus on Perseverance, which is doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. I try to simulate that situation within our workouts, by challenging our kids with drills that are tough, challenging, and call for extreme amounts of mental toughness. Their response to this challenge was absolutely amazing, while at moments they wanted to get up they persevered through. This tool will allow them to handle life situation with the same attitude and approach. So proud of each and every one of them, and saw the 1% improvement they made, continue to keep up the hard work and remind yourself you're made for this!!

War At The Shower Champs 🏆 ☝🏽

Proud of these young men, the intensity, energy, and toughness they played with this weekend set the tone for my week!

What’s was even better to watch, was the togetherness this group had. Even though we are never satisfied and always striving to be better than the last time, winning this championship felt really good.

Thank you to the players for trusting in me and being receptive to coaching. Also to the parents, for supporting our coaches and our team.
Let’s continue to grow as a family, individuals, and community.
