We wrap community around children, youth and families in foster care across Greater Cleveland.

What does it mean to be a kid?

To laugh with friends. Try something new. Make memories. Feel like you belong.

Children and youth experiencing foster care want many of the same things every child wants—a chance to simply be a kid.

Creating opportunities for normal childhood experiences can make a lasting impact, helping children and youth feel connected, included, and valued.

This Summer, your gift can help children, youth, and families experiencing foster care attend the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Asian Lantern Festival for a night of fun, connection, dinner, and memories.

💙 $30 sponsors one child.
💙 $150 sponsors a family or group of five children.

Because childhood matters. And so do the people who show up.

This spring, one of our mentors supported a young woman as she prepared for her senior prom.

At first, she wasn't sure she wanted to attend. But with encouragement and a trusted mentor by her side, she chose to celebrate this important milestone.

On prom day, she specifically asked her mentor to help her get ready—a simple moment that reflected something much deeper: trust.

These are the moments that remind us why relationships matter.

At Cleveland Angels, mentorship is about showing up consistently so children and youth experiencing foster care know they are valued, supported, and never alone. Because when a young person has someone they trust in life's biggest moments, it can change everything. 💙

Foster Care Month may be coming to an end — but the mission is not.

Showing up changes lives.
And it changes you, too.

It creates purpose, perspective, and connection in ways you may not expect.

In fact, 82% of youth, families, and volunteers stay connected even after the program ends. Your yes can create relationships that last far beyond a moment — and impact everyone involved.

Whether it’s mentoring, volunteering, giving, or partnering, every yes matters.

It takes all of us — and your yes matters.

How will you give your yes?

Earlier this month, the Young Professionals CARE Associate Board hosted Flow for Foster Care — a restorative afternoon yoga session in honor of National Foster Care Awareness Month 💙

Thank you to everyone who showed up, not only for themselves, but for the youth and families in Cleveland.

This event would not have been possible without the incredible community members who shared their space, time, and energy in support of our mission. Special thanks to Casey Lewis and Willow Room Salon for welcoming us into your beautiful studio, and to the amazing Ariana Stone for leading us through a restorative slow flow and sound bath.

We’re so grateful for a community that continues to show up for children, youth, and families impacted by foster care.

The solution to the foster care crisis starts with something simple — community. 💙

Somewhere along the way, we stopped showing up for our neighbors. We’re here to change that — and we’re asking you to be part of it.

This isn’t someone else’s issue. It belongs to all of us.

Before systems existed, neighbors showed up for neighbors. That’s still the solution today.

Every child experiencing foster care deserves people willing to say yes — to mentoring, volunteering, giving, and showing up.

Community is the solution. What’s your yes?

The foster care system is complex.
Consistent relationships are the solution.

This National Foster Care Awareness Month, we’re changing the narrative — and asking you to be part of it.

Children, youth, and families experiencing foster care don’t need more programs.
They need people who show up, again and again.

Because consistent relationships change everything.

The reality:
• Only 50% of youth experiencing foster care will graduate on time
• 1 in 5 youth will experience homelessness

But when someone shows up consistently, outcomes change.

87% of youth in our programs graduate on time or are on track to graduate.

Mentors and youth build lasting relationships, greater stability, and hope for the future.

This is how lives change.

When you say yes to mentoring, volunteering, giving, or partnering, you become part of that change.

What’s your yes? 💙

Volunteer. Mentor. Give. Partner.

Don’t scroll past this.
Take the next step today.
Be the reason someone’s story turns out differently.

Instability is one of the greatest challenges children and youth face in foster care.

More than 50% of foster homes close within the first year. That often means constant moves — new schools, new rules, and new faces. And when a child moves homes, they lose more than a roof over their head; they lose a sense of stability and belonging.

In a world of constant change, the most powerful thing you can offer is consistency.

You do not need to be a hero.
You do not need to have all the answers.

You just need to be someone who stays.
Month after month. Conversation after conversation.

Consistency builds trust.
Trust builds stability.
Stability changes everything.

You don’t have to have it all figured out — just be willing to say yes.

There’s no one right way to make a difference.
Only your way.

What’s your yes? 💙

Volunteer. Mentor. Give. Partner.
