An update on The Fresh Collective at Pop Life.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who expressed interest and excitement around this.

The vision for this was always something very intentional. We care deeply about Waterloo and believe in this neighborhood wholeheartedly. That belief hasn’t changed.

Right now we feel it’s better to pause than to move forward with something that doesn’t fully align with the experience and impact we hoped to create.

We also know there can sometimes be a disconnect between perception and the reality of this neighborhood. We continue to believe deeply in Waterloo, the people here, and the future of this community.

We will continue to accept applications for future consideration [email protected] and share updates if and when there’s a future shift or new direction for The Fresh Collective.

Meet Pop Life’s featured artist for May 🌈

Ape Bleakney is a Cleveland artist + screen printer behind APE MADE. This month her work is hanging throughout the Pop Life space 🙌

Her prints feel right at home here and we are loving seeing her “food and water is a human right” pieces hanging above our community fridge + pantry 🫶
