Last week, Trinity Cathedral welcomed history lovers from across Northeast Ohio as part of Cleveland History Days 2026! More than 45 visitors joined us over two tours, each led by dedicated volunteer docents and featuring a 90-minute exploration of Cleveland’s story alongside Trinity’s own remarkable history.

A work of faith and craftsmanship that has endured for centuries is preparing to return home.

This medieval stained-glass window, one of Trinity Cathedral's most treasured artistic and historic features, was recently removed for expert conservation and repair. Soon, it will once again fill the cathedral with the light and color that have inspired generations.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It has long been honored in Black communities as a day of remembrance, joy, resilience, and liberation, and became a U.S. federal holiday in 2021.
