"Whoever said multitasking is a myth clearly wasn’t a woman on a mission. 💻👣 💻👣
This was me this week: finalizing my workshop while babysitting my granddaughter.
Was it distracting? Absolutely.
Would I trade those distractions for a perfectly quiet office? Not a chance.
I consider myself a master-multi-tasker.
Whether it's squats/lunges while brushing my teeth, making calls over a cutting board or a simmering pot in the kitchen, or decluttering and doing my nails while watching TV —I’ve stopped trying to fit into a traditional box and started maximizing my 24 hours in a way that fuels my soul.
And that is exactly what I teach in my workshops: to embrace your nuances and find what works for you instead of just following what everyone else says. There is a time for improvement, but if a system is working for you, own it!
It doesn't matter if a different way worked for your mother, your best friend, or your neighbor.
You are unique.
Own your pace, own your space!

"It is what it is."
For a long time, I used that phrase to excuse my own burnout.
Between 15-hour days, deadlines, and endless responsibilities, I told myself I simply couldn't escape the storm.
And many times, the storm is not going anywhere soon.
But here is the hard truth: burnout isn’t just "tiredness."
When you are exposed to prolonged stress without recovery, your body begins to shut down.
Your nervous system, digestion, and cognitive clarity all take the hit.
I have seen unstoppable, hard-working, high-achieving women—the ones "doing all the right things"—simply collapse.
Nothing changes until you change.
One stress management strategy I teach in my workshops is creating "pockets of peace."
I’ve had a chaotic season myself since October. Between traveling to Ireland and India, managing house projects, and family responsibilities, it’s been non-stop. There are some strategies I use to keep myself grounded, but there were also things, like painting projects, that I pushed forward until I am out of the chaos.
But I decided to stop waiting for the "perfect day," the "perfect time," and the "perfect setup," and started reclaiming 10-minute pockets. I built a "painting art tote" and began creating tiny art in my planner. No pressure. Just soul-fuel. 🎨✨
For the high-achiever, these pockets of peace aren't a luxury—they are a tactical regrouping for the next battle.

Stop letting a version of you that no longer exists hold the pen for your future.

You aren't just a product of what happened to you and all you went through;
you are the architect of what happens next.
Stop rehearsing your past and start practicing your future.
Your wellness is your responsibility.
Your happiness is your choice.

Many people ask me how I stay in shape.
Some people assume I just “stay in shape” by default. LOL.
The truth?
I’ve been on a weight-management journey for 12 years. I had never dieted or exercised a day in my life until I turned 40—when things changed.
My metabolism slowed.
The weight stayed.
Stressful personal life circumstances piled on.
Then came thyroid issues, etc..
I didn’t even notice the weight was creeping up until someone noticed the difference, and pointed it out.
So I decided I had to stop the ascending scale instead of settling into the “Welcome to the 40s Club.” 🙂
I researched.
Tested different approaches.
Some worked.
Some failed.
Some worked… until they didn’t.
For example, when I hit 50, the same diet stopped working, and even skipping meals didn’t reduce the weight.
After more research, health coaches, and even trying some extreme (and unsustainable) diet plans, I finally created a personalized Meal and Movement plan (I call it my M&M Plan) that works for me.
But through this long journey, I learned something powerful:
There is no universal plan that works for everyone.
And the plan cannot stay the same forever.
What works for me may not work for you.
And what works for you may not work for your entire lifetime.
Every metabolism is different.
Every lifestyle is different.
Your preferences are different.
Every body is different and it is constantly changing after 40.
For example, I enjoy variety in my food, so I the foods I enjoy. I simply manage (based on my science-backed M&M Plan)how much I eat and when I eat.
Someone else may not care much about food variety, and their plan may look completely different. Both can work.
I do not like working out. I just do as much as I need to achieve my fitness goals. Sometimes it’s 30 minutes, sometimes 10 minutes or less. Someone else might thrive on long gym sessions. Both can work.
A non-vegetarian, high-protein diet works for me. Others prefer a plant-based approach. Both can work.
The mistake many people make is blindly following someone else’s plan. You need a personalized plan. And if it stops working, you need to reassess and recalibrate.

Most wellness advice fails for one reason :
It assumes everyone lives the same life.
But real life doesn’t work like that.
A woman caring for an aging parent carries a different load than a single mom juggling work and a teenager’s sports schedule.
A stay-at-home mom with toddlers has a different capacity than a woman navigating hormone shifts or thyroid issues.
Different bodies. Different responsibilities. Different stress levels.
So how could one generic wellness routine possibly work for everyone?
It can’t.
