Lust is a very dangerous sin that many Christians struggle with on a daily basis. The Bible mentions two categories of lust: the list of the flesh and the lust of the eyes (1 John 2:16).

The lust of the flesh consists of gluttony, formication, and laziness. The lust of the eyes consists of materialism, covetousness, and envy.

Victory over temptation and lust can be yours, but only through Jesus Christ. He too was tempted with the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, but He overcame them by the power of God’s Word.

Today’s lesson was all about the Word of God. Just because the Bible claims scripture is inspired of God, does that also mean it’s infallible?

In TWO weeks, Collegians For Christ will be meeting once again for the spring 2026 semester!

On Thursday, January 22nd, we will be starting our new series titled “What the Bible Says.” Throughout the semester, we will be studying what the Bible says about various questions and topics from within the Bible, culture, and other struggles.

As always, we will be providing a free lunch each Thursday as we study the Bible together. In addition, we will meet for small groups once a month, evangelize to the students on campus, and enjoy fun activities throughout the semester.
