We’ve been renting since we had our first son and never got the chance to decorate or make a room feel fully his.
Lately, I’ve had so much fun surprising him with little pieces in his new space.
He notices every little detail and loves everything - his new big boy bed, twinkling lights, decorative pillows, rug, and pictures on the walls.
The shocked face he makes every time he walks in to something new melts my heart and makes my whole day.
It reminds me this was the whole point. All the money, stress, and effort that went into building our custom home… completely worth it. 🥹🏡 ✨

Purchased wall paper (last photo) with the goal to add beadboard wainscoting around his room and the wall paper up to the ceiling.

Almost a year ago I grabbed this 12ft tree during Hobby Lobby’s 90% off sale for $125. At the time, we just broke ground and had no idea if it would fit. If you’re building this floor plan, you know the struggle of figuring out where the Christmas tree will go 😂 We put it up and it’s everything I imagined… magical, cozy, and meant to be.
Ornaments start 3ft up this year thanks to my curious and destructive 1-year-old 🎄✨

This weekend is our big move in day! Today we set some of the living room to get rid of boxes. Love seeing everything come together

Running cat6 cables to all the security cameras, WiFi access points, and TVs.

The roof will be done soon and we get to pick out our front door this week!

It’s amazing how much can happen in 2 weeks.
