"The wound is a reminder of the love." Delaney Kilbane's mother shares how she's learned to honor her 8-year-old daughter's legacy — not by moving on, but by living the way Delaney did. Seizure warnings before movies or video games have been so common that some people may think that's the biggest cause of seizures. In reality, only about 3% of people with epilepsy have seizures caused by flashing lights.
More likely causes include missing medication, sleep deprivation, stress, alcohol or drugs, and hormonal changes or pregnancy in women. Some seizures are unprovoked, meaning there is no clear reason they occurred.
Epilepsy isn't one-size-fits-all, but there's still a lot of people who have been misled by stereotypes or media to think epilepsy is just someone who shakes when they see flashing lights.

💜 A Little About Us… and a Chance to Make a Difference. 💜
It’s hard to believe we’ve now owned Fat AXXEs for four months! During that time, so many of you have become more than customers—you’ve become friends. Many of you have had the chance to meet our beautiful little girl, Angelina, while others haven’t yet.
This Saturday is a chance to support an amazing cause and maybe even meet the little girl who inspires everything we’re doing.
Angelina lives with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy. Every day she shows us what true strength looks like, and every year my wife participates in the Out Race Epilepsy walk to help raise money for the Epilepsy Association of Northeast Ohio.
One thing everyone looks forward to each year? Her homemade treats! 🍪
If you’ve had them before, you already know why people rave about them. If you haven’t, now’s your chance! Every purchase helps support families living with epilepsy while giving you some seriously incredible homemade baked goods.
🎯 Angelina’s Army Co****le Classic
This Saturday – Starting at 5:00 PM
We’ll also be turning our weekly co****le tournament into a fundraiser!
Instead of increasing the entry fee, we’re simply asking players to consider making a $5 donation when they register.
💜 Regular entry remains $10 if that’s what you’re comfortable with.
💜 A $5 donation is appreciated and will be added directly to the fundraiser.
💜 Want to give more? Every single dollar is welcome.
100% of every donation will go directly to the Epilepsy Association of Northeast Ohio.
Saturday Schedule
🎯 5:00 PM – Singles Tournament (Minimum 3 boards, possibly 4!)
🎯 BYOP – 15 PPR Team Cap
🎯 Blind Draw – Immediately following if time allows
Whether you’ve known us for years, met us in the last few months, or have never met Angelina, we’d love to see you.
Come throw some bags, grab some amazing homemade treats, enjoy great food and cold drinks, and spend the day with us for a cause that’s incredibly close to our hearts.
Every cookie purchased.
Every bag thrown.
Every donation made.
Makes a difference for families living with epilepsy.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Angelina’s Army and helping us make a difference. 💜

Help us bring a feature-length movie about epilepsy to Cleveland! If we get enough votes, an early screening and director Q&A will be held in our city! Voting is free: https://tally.so/r/Bzp12e
Under the Lights is an independent film about a teenage boy with epilepsy who wants nothing more than to go to prom. Finally, a movie about the personality, dreams, feelings, and perseverance of someone with epilepsy. Not just a brief scene where someone has a seizure and everyone gets stressed out, like we usually see on TV and in movies.
Do you know someone who works in a Cleveland independent theater? Contact us at [email protected], we need to find a host for this important film!

Thank you to everyone who voted! The animal on this year's collectible participation button will be an elephant!
Elephants are empathetic animals that care deeply about others in their herd. They've actually been seen using their trunks to comfort other elephants that are sick or upset! We think that's pretty fitting for a group of several hundred people coming together to support people with epilepsy.
The participation button will be free to everyone after the races, whether you ran the 10K, walked the mile, or just cheered on the members of your herd.
