One of the reasons that we tell people's stories for a living is because we believe names shouldn’t fade into silence and meaning shouldn’t disappear when moments pass.

We pause to think about this: With every flag hoisted today, someone's story is rising alongside. So, with every glass raised and with every meal shared on this occasion, may we all be called to remember them.

Memorial Day is a moment to honor those who gave everything in service to this country and to recognize the families who continue living with that absence.

We remember them today. We remember them always.
