CWRU Book Project
Helping to connect CWRU intellectually to the greater Cleveland community.
Our long term goals:
*Continue to collect the common reading, branch out to collecting class sets of books, and have book drives to collect novels.
*Build a library in the Cuyahoga County Jail
Build relationships with the recipient groups with which CWRU students can engage in book groups and discussion groups

The CWRU Book Project will be selling Oreo Balls ($1.5), Brownies ($1), and Tickets ($0.5 ea) for a Amazon Giftcard Raffle in Nord on 11/15 and 11/17 from 12pm-4pm and 11/18 from 10pm-4pm. All proceeds will be going to the charity Books for Africa to support literacy in rural Cameroon (check out this article written by our Secretary Ridaa: https://www.theodysseyonline.com/cameroon-challenge)
Cameroon Challenge here is so much inequality in the world; one way to solve it is to educate and learn; but Cameroonians don't have a library...help fix that. All it takes is a few minutes of your day to change lives.
We are co-sponsoring the film Dead Poets Society with the CWRU Film Society on Saturday March 26th at 7pm and 9:30pm! We will also be hosting a gift card raffle for $1 a ticket to various stores around the area. Come on out and enjoy the film!
We are proud to announce that we made over $100 at the Zumba event! Thank you to everyone who came! We will be donating the money to Books for Africa, specifically the project to build a School Library in rural Cameroon. This project has received zero funding so far, despite it being an amazing endeavor, so we figured we would just get the ball rolling!
