Do you know of any community events happening this summer that focus on public safety? Let us know! We'd love the opportunity to stop by, connect with residents, and share information about the Cleveland Community Police Commission and our work.
We recently had the privilege of speaking with teens at The People's Office Teen Takeover Reloaded event and hearing their perspectives on gun violence and its impact on their lives and communities. These conversations are critical to understanding the challenges young people face and ensuring their voices are part of the conversation around public safety.
Due to a lack of quorum, tonightโs Rules Committee meeting has been canceled. Please join us tomorrow for the regularly scheduled Policy Committee meeting. An agenda will be posted on our website shortly.
The Accountability Committee Meeting that was scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled for next Tuesday, June 16 at 5:30 p.m. Please join us tomorrow for the Rules Committee Meeting and Wednesday for Policy.

The Cleveland Community Police Commission was honored to participate in this year's Pride in the CLE Parade alongside the City of Cleveland and Mayor Justin Bibb.
One of the CPC's priorities is advancing bias-free policing and helping ensure that every person is treated fairly, respectfully, and without discrimination when interacting with law enforcement. Building trust requires listening to the experiences of all community members, especially those from historically marginalized groups.
To support this work, the CPC will soon be launching an LGBTQ+ Workgroup. We are looking forward to creating a space where LGBTQ+ residents can share their experiences, concerns, and recommendations related to policing, public safety, and accountability.
Community feedback helps shape our oversight efforts and informs our work on police policy, training, and discipline.
Stay tuned for details on how to apply and participate.
