Happy Pride from TMP! 🌈

Throughout June, we’ll be highlighting q***r artists from across the Cleveland community and sharing ways you can support their work.

Our first spotlight is Angelina DiFranco, a vibrant and active artist in the Northeast Ohio dance community. She is currently involved in several exciting projects, including a performance this weekend with The Dancing Wheels Company. Her work, We hold us, has been presented at festivals across the country, with hopes of continuing its tour to new audiences. As the 2026 LINK Resident, Angelina received support and resources through NCCAkron and TMP to develop a new duet with DeMarco Sleeper. The piece will be performed this summer as part of TMP’s Summerworks showcase.

On the second slide, there are various ways to support Angelina’s work as a q***r artist in Cleveland!

Congrats on all the great work you’re doing, Angelina! ☺️

It’s not too late to get your tickets to CodeMoves! The Akron performance is TONIGHT at 6pm.

Experience how technology and movement can come together in thoughtful, human-centered ways.

Over the past 18 months, TMP Associate Director Elyse Morckel, alongside collaborators Lauren Bedal of Los Angeles and Miryam Gabrielle of Detroit, have explored how AI technologies can support and expand choreographic practice while remaining accessible to artists without technical backgrounds. Shaped by community feedback from dancers, choreographers, and creative technologist partners, the project has grown into a deeper mission of building practical tools that artists can use within their own creative processes.

Special thanks to The Knight Foundation New Work Grant for providing funding support for this research.

Tickets can be purchased through the link in our bio. Costs range from $10-$30.
