The Future Vision Foundation's mission is to inspire philanthropy that supports breakthrough advances in care by showcasing physician-scientists, new discoveries, novel approaches, technical innovation, clinical challenges, and the stories of those helped by medical research. A national award and documentary film of awardees will be used to illustrate the nature of innovation, the importance of discovery, and to highlight the potential to alleviate suffering.

This film honors Doctors Jean Bennett and Albert Maguire and their discovery of the first gene therapy approved to cure a type of blindness in America and Europe. Philadelphia based video producer and cinematographer Greg Gant captures their dogged pursuit of rigorous scientific inquiry to successfully apply gene therapy in optometry.
