Our region is filled with dandelions right now! Lots of people say they are weeds and will spray chemicals to get rid of them, but we say, "Eat them!"

Always remember to forage responsibly and avoid contaminated areas near parking lots and along roadsides.

What is the connection between gender equality and climate justice?

According to the World Resources Institute, “in almost three quarters of households without drinkable water, women are are primarily responsible for collecting it.” Consequently, when the water dries up or becomes polluted they are forced to search for resources in areas that could dangerous or are so far away they cannot attend school.

WRI also noted that “in India and Nepal, studies have shown that when women participate in forest management and decision-making processes at the community level, we see better forest conservation.”

Women need to be included in the conversation when decisions are being made in their community!
