San Mateo’s newest dance studio, all made possible by the one and only Jackie Flynn. 🖤 I’m so lucky to be celebrating 2 years in the Bay Area this way. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this space absolutely spectacular, and to the dancers who make my dream job possible!

That’s a wrap for 2022 Oireachtas Season! 🥳 We sent 16 dancers from to the Western US regional qualifying event in San Francisco, and returned with lots of medals & memories. Congratulations to our two adult teams placing 5th & 7th, and our U8 and U10 teams placing 5th and 12th!
We had a sweep in the Adult Traditional Set comp, and our four dancers placed 1st, 2nd, and tied for 3rd!
Our championship soloists danced beautifully — Megan overcame an injury this season and performed two clean rounds on the big stage, and Julie finished 12th overall.
We finally got a chance to celebrate in the studio today, and above all we had a lot of fun. ✨

For those who don’t know yet…
I recently launched the Sutherland School of Irish Dance in San Diego, offering beginner lessons for youth & adults. I always say that one of my greatest achievements in my dance career was not an award or medal or production, but passing my TCRG certification in 2017, and thus becoming an official registered teacher with . It’s not just about me being able to live out my passion for dance as an instructor and business owner, but more importantly about my students growing in skills, confidence, and finding their own passion for Irish dance as well.

🏆 is based on the principles of dedication, determination, teamwork, and achievement through Irish dance. Classes started a few weeks ago, but there is still room to join us! Message me if you would like more info, and stay tuned for future performances and céilís in San Diego! 🤍
