The June 16 Primary Runoff votes are in and county election officials confirmed that voter turnout was strong during both advanced in-person voting and on Election Day.

Polls closed at 7 p.m. All 10 precinct results are in. White County voters put Will Wade ahead of Philip Milam in the State Senate District 51 race on the Republican ballot. Wade had 76.70% of the vote, Milam had 23.30%
In the school board race for the District 4 seat, Jordan Fincher was ahead with 55.09% of the votes, and incumbent Linda Erbele had 44.91%.

Farmhouse Coffee in Cleveland opened the doors to their new location on the downtown square at 6 a.m. on Friday, June 12. Because Christina Loggins, center, was the first customer in line – she arrived at 4:30 a.m. – she will receive one free coffee a day for the next year. At left is Farmhouse co-owner Marilyn Martin and at right is Cindy Wright. Wright and her husband, Clayton, will operate Farmhouse's Cleveland shop.
