Today, we remember September 11, 2001.

We remember the nearly 3,000 people whose lives were taken, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless families and loved ones whose lives were changed forever.

We remember the courage, sacrifice and compassion shown in the days that followed, and the strength of the people who came together during one of the darkest moments in our nation’s history.

More than two decades later, the loss is still felt by the families, friends and communities who carry those memories with them.

Today, we pause to remember those we lost, honor those who served, and keep the families who continue to carry that loss in our thoughts.

We will never forget.

Labor Day is a good reminder of how much goes into the work we often take for granted.

One of the easiest things you can do for your home doesn't cost anything.

Pay attention to it.

Notice if your countertops or cabinets suddenly seem out of level. Watch for gaps developing where your walls meet the ceiling or floor. Pay attention to tile or flooring that starts separating, or trim that no longer sits flush like it used to.

You don't have to be a foundation expert to notice when something has changed.
