SPE Southeast Chapter leadership snap election!
Voting is open until midnight Wed, July 2.
Chapter officers are responsible for overall leadership of their Chapters, and are integral to the smooth operation of SPE. As happens from time to time, we end up with a vacancy that can only be filled by election of the membership of a Chapter. After requesting nominations during the Southeast Chapter Member’s Meeting at the SPE Annual Conference in Reno, we have a nominee for SE Chapter Chair, Mathias Hungler of Savannah College of Art and Design.

Society for Photographic Education is pleased to share our Call for Proposals for our 63rd Annual Conference, Catalyst for Exchange, taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, March 19-21, 2026.
We are seeking proposals for four tracks, Sessions/Session Chairs; Individual Presentations, Workshops, and Student Presentations. Our Call for Proposals closed on April 20, 2025.

All leadership team positions for the Multi Cultural Caucus are open for election and application at this time. We are looking for spirited members looking to take on leadership roles and help strengthen our mission of inclusivity.
The new Chair and Secretary/Social media rep, will be in leadership from late March 2025 through March of 2028.
The Chair is responsible for:
-the overarching organization of the caucus
-planning events and programming at conferences and throughout the year.
-acting as the liaison between caucus membership and the SPE board and staff.
-coordinating and/or delegating activities such as the biannual newsletter, caucus social media, virtual programming etc.
The Secretary is responsible for:
-working closely with the Chair on all caucus activities
-recording minutes during meetings, both virtual and in person
-acting as a second liaison between caucus membership and the SPE board and staff
