No amount of time makes it OK to joke about what happened to this man, . It was a sick injustice that caused an innocent man to lose his life, a child to lose her father. It’s never OK to make light of that. Our tax dollars being used to sn**ch Black lives through undue state violence is not something a grown Black taxpayer should sit up and smile or laugh about. Especially not for show.

It was a big room with a lot of people that I wasn’t sure wanted to hear my poem about the genocide in Palestine and the genocide in Congo and our complicity and responsibility. But I read it anyway.
