The following is the general job duties:

Bring supplies, boxes, skids, raw materials to the packaging lines
Move packaged items to warehouse
Move materials to and from production areas by forklift and properly storing them when required
Move finished goods to warehouse
Wrap boxes with the stretch wrapper, re-band if needed
Move trash cardboard to baler
Document movement of materials and complete all required paperwork
Help to monitor inventory levels and advise supervision of low volumes
Perform daily forklift inspections
Stack boxes, strap down, attach ID tags according to instructions
Assist with carton change, tag remaining cartons; hand stretch wrap
Keep work area clean and maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation
Maintains safety in the department
Watch for carton problems and notify Quality Control

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Follow schedule indicating which machines allocated to monitor.
Review work orders. Review Barcode and case Labels.
Obtains correct boxes and bag sizes.
Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process.
Follow AQL definition of what is acceptable and what is not acceptable product.
Record information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
Hourly bottle inspection on each machine and document findings.
Packs according to product specific SOP’s.
Closes and seals boxes. Labels boxes/cases, and or totes. Ensure cases are in sequence.
Documents total production for shift.
Cleans packaging area. Assembles cartons. Obtains and sorts product.
Communicates problems or concerns with Set Up Operator and/or QC Inspector.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
