My life’s work with plaster lives at the intersection of visual art and architecture (which are sometimes one and the same).

My work on the cradle - free-standing fine art pieces - directly informs the art-based plaster installations that end up on the wall or surface of architectural spaces. And my many years of formal training as an artisan working with plaster has allowed me to expand and transform the traditional uses of the material and direct it into a creative application.

The render above exists to show that bridge - where a single piece can become an immersive surface built directly on the wall. No longer just applied, but integrated. Not only decorative, but architectural.

Pulling from my newest work to explore how plaster can move from canvas to spatial installation. We create these renders to illustrate how an art piece can inform a fully custom architectural surface - shifting from a framed work into a fireplace or wall.

The goal is always translation and never duplication. Inspired by a piece that will in turn evolve with the space, tailored to proportion, light, and material context. Where fine art becomes architecture.

The devil is always in the details. We created some bespoke textures for when they wanted to take a really unique approach to the walls in this home. Each room that we worked on had a slightly different finish, making it cohesive with the styling of furniture and textures in each space.
