We’re excited to share that our Summer 2026 Intern Program is officially underway!
This week, we welcomed 44 interns to NRP across construction, property management, corporate, and development. We’re excited to see this group in action and to help shape the next generation of A+ players. Over the next 10 weeks, they’ll build skills, take on high-impact projects, and learn from our teams in various offices across the country.

“Sanara is designed for families seeking attainable rents in well-connected neighborhoods, a demographic that is often underserved in today’s market,” said Max Whipple, Vice President of Development at The NRP Group.
NRP recently broke ground on Sanara in Southeast Austin, Texas, a 348‑unit affordable housing community. All residences are reserved for households earning up to 60% of AMI and are designed with family‑friendly floorplans, with more than half of homes featuring three- and four-bedroom layouts.

The NRP Group and Brooks celebrated the groundbreaking of Lucia at Brooks, a $72 million, 353-unit apartment community on San Antonio’s Southside. During the event in February, Alicia Sebastian, President, San Antonio ISD Board of Trustees, shared more about how Lucia will impact the local community.

The NRP Group recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Arbor Ranch in Denton, Texas, marking our second community in the city. Developed in partnership with the Denton Housing Authority, Arbor Ranch is a 297-unit affordable housing community serving families and individuals earning 30% to 70% of the Area Median Income (AMI). The community will offer one- to four-bedroom apartment homes designed to support a range of household needs.
The NRP Group recently broke ground at The Waymark, a new 109‑unit, affordable apartment community in the Ward 7 community of Washington, DC. Developed in partnership with Marshall Heights Community Development Organization (MHCDO), this project reflects a long‑term commitment to access and affordability in a highly connected location.
During the groundbreaking event, Chris Marshall, Vice President of Development, shared: “Permanent affordable housing means this is a project that will have a 99‑year affordability requirement. So we’re talking generations of families who can be assured that this location, this great, highly accessible, highly visible location, will remain affordable for those that want to live in this property for years to come after them.”

We’re proud to break ground on Sanara, a 348-unit affordable housing community in Southeast Austin developed in partnership with the Housing Authority of Travis County.
Sanara is intentionally designed to support families with more than 60% of units offering three- and four-bedroom floorplans.
Residents will benefit from a thoughtfully curated mix of amenities and on-site programs designed to support everyday living and long-term stability, including:
• 24-hour fitness center and business center with coworking space
• Clubhouse with lounge and community kitchen
• No cost resident programs such as after school care, financial literacy courses, ESL classes and first-time homebuyer education.
