Lots of folks have wished me well on my retirement from Crain's Cleveland Business. More of my life was spent there than outside it as I was 31 when I joined the staff. It'll be hard to disconnect from the realty and biz beat at CCB. But I hope to stay connected with my home town. In the beginning it was a treat to see downtown continue to develop. Then it was learning streets, neighborhoods and small towns I scarcely new as my beat covered seven counties. And later, as Ohio City began to take off with apartments and SoLo with new homes and extensive remakes, my old neighborhoods. My son was kind enough to post this about my transition to post-Crain life:
