Nice article about Braun Collection (my publishing company) publishing "Billion or Bust!: Growing a Tech Company in Texas," by Lanham Napier.
"We publish books that tell stories rather than 'preach and teach.” We call them True Business Adventure Tales. The narrator’s voice needs to be one of adventure, humor, forthrightness, and love. We want a voice that respects business and capitalism but also gives a sense, through fast-paced storytelling, of how to do business and capitalism better."

BizBios are short and mighty biographies–handsomely designed, informative conversation cards for business enthusiasts. They are art, entertainment, and education all-in-one. Each trading-card-sized BizBio has six custom-created icons, fifty words of biographical text, and custom imagery. Braun Ink independently has created nearly 100 BizBios of iconic business leaders—those who are “first, best, biggest, or most in industry in some way.” And, we also create custom-commissioned BizBios of executives.

I'm happy that we have updated our Braun Ink website. One thing you can now do is purchase some limited edition books we have created (soup to nuts) for clients. Many clients write books for colleagues, family, and friends. But they also often tell terrific stories.
For instance, Bob Gries, a longtime philanthropist, investor, and adventurer, and prior partial owner of a certain Cleveland football team, writes in "Aging with Attitude" about doing 100 major athletic adventures AFTER age 50! His stories are terrific and will inspire you to get out and adventure.
There are other limited print edition books you can get on our site. Check it out -- https://www.braunink.com/biographies/

Sales First!: Growing Our Company the Old-Fashioned Way from the Braun Collection
page: https://www.facebook.com/brauninkbrauncollection/
This book has received a PERFECT 4/4 rating by the Onlinebookclub.org Review Team!
SALES FIRST!: Growing Our Company the Old-Fashioned Way by John Haugh and Michael Shaughnessy is an entrepreneurship book that tells the story of two chemical salespeople who created the colossal company ColorMatrix which came to generate more than 100 million in revenue. However, they didn't make a revolutionary product (in fact, they found a cheaper and more efficient way to add color to plastics).
“This fascinating book demonstrates that you don't have to be a genius or create a fancy product to be a successful entrepreneur. What is needed is commitment and knowing how to deal well with people.” ~ OBC Reviewer

I love this (pictured) information about best selling case studies of 2021 from The Case Centre.
Listen, y'all, case studies are the ultimate in story-based, immersive, experiential teaching and learning.
Cases tell stories, and then the teacher's job is to actually CREATE LEARNING from the story so the story is not only serving as entertainment but also as actual education. That's what I love. Edutainment.
Case studies (and teachers who use the case method) create:
--Immersive classrooms.
--Experiential learning.
--Pedagogy -- turning stories into actual enduring lessons.
--Bonds--socratic method, teacher and student relationship.
Now, I do wish the infographic showed Braun Collection cases* as being best sellers. But, we've got a ways to go before we break into the market in a meaningful way. So, we're not there . . . yet.
Also, it's nice to see that yet again ICFAI Business School's Debrapratim Purkayastha was most featured author. His fantastic comic book case studies "had me from hello" (so to speak). He passed away from COVID in 2021. I didn't know him, but I loved his work so much that I have now partnered with the illustrator for his case studies, the excellent Sid Ghosh, to create at least one comic book case study that we will (in a small way, on the back) also honor the memory of Debrapratim. (Sid, yes, I do still need to get a case study subject & situation for us -- I'm on it!)
Lastly, the Case Centre really is an amazing place to access cases. It's a superstore of cases. You can search by any topic and you'll find a just-right case study and support materials.
Okay, I know: I nerd out on case studies. But, once you teach and learn business through case studies, you cannot go back :-).
PS: Also happy to see my alma mater, Harvard Business School, on there! It's where I fell in love with the case method and case studies.
*Braun Collection case studies are typically complex case studies (True Business Adventure Tales), comic book case studies, and super-compact case studies (BizBios).

Things Fall Apart tells the story of Rebecca Boenigk, president and co-founder of Neutral Posture, an innovative office seating manufacturer in Texas. She takes her company public and finds that being a small, thinly traded public company has serious downsides. Then again, going private is an expensive, difficult, complex process. Should she fix the public problems or take the company private again?
Case takes place 1997-2001, but the themes & decisions are classic and highly relevant today. (Also, Neutral Posture is the only woman-owned business ever to go public on Nasdaq.)
