🐕🐶This is Xul!

Xul is a mix of a rare breed of dog called a Catahoula Leopard Dog. He’s not all looks either! He’s also got a super playful and bold personality. Something our front desk receptionists loved about him!

It’s beautiful breeds and qualities like Xul’s that make us one of the few clinics in Cleveland to offer Artificial Insemination services to our clients.

We provide alternative processes when natural breeding is not possible due to behavioral or physical factors. Our clinic is a sanitary and low-stress environment for both male and female animals.

If you are looking for a clinic to help with the breeding process, visit us today or call to schedule an appointment!

🧐🐶Spotting Lyme Disease may be tricky for us to detect, and especially hard for our dogs.

Sometimes it’s hard for us to know what’s really going on with our furry pals. It would be easy for us if they could tell us what’s going on!

Signs your dog may have Lyme Disease include
🦵Limping or swollen/warm joints
🍽Loss of appetite
🕷Exposure to ticks

This disease can be avoided with proper prevention and treatments. Visit us today to find out your options!

🕷💪May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month

Did you know that our furry friends are just as susceptible to Lyme Disease as we are? Dogs happen to be more at risk than cats because they can be infected after a tick has been attached for one to two days.

Once it has entered a dog’s bloodstream, the Lyme disease organism can infect the joints and kidneys.

Come by and see us to discuss preventative options or treatment today!

🐶✨In honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, we wanted to share one of our own “Miracle Stories” with you!

This is “Janky” Hank!

Hank was found on the side of the road in a crate by Cleveland Animal Control, and brought to us because he had trouble walking. After being checked over and given x-rays by the staff at CAH, Hank was diagnosed with a rare disease called Hypertrophic osteodystrophy or “HOD” which affects large breed puppies who grow too fast. Due to the pain in his legs, Hank was very limited on his movements and seemed to wobble when he walked.

The staff at CAH quickly fell in love with Hank - so much that one of our staff members decided to welcome him into their home forever!

With a little bit of patience and a whole lot of love, Hank is in the process of recovery from this rare disease, and practically runs circles around his mom every day!

It’s stories like these that make everything we do here at CAH & SVS all worth it! There are countless redemption stories out there like Hank’s and they are waiting on YOU to make a change in their lives!

Visit City of Cleveland Animal Control or our local ASPCA to find your own “Miracle Story” today!
