Easier access for Akron renters aim of housing issues on the ballot Issues 11 and 12 would amend the Akron City Charter, eliminate fees and other charges when a prospective tenant applies to rent a property.

PREP has one number you cannot eyeball: eight. ⏳

Counting starts the day after your Listing Contract Date. Saturdays, Sundays and MLS Now holidays are not business days. The listing has to be Active by the 8th business day.

That date is a deadline, not an appointment — you can go Active any time before it.

And if you are entering a listing directly as Active, leave the Activation Date blank.

Ohio's July numbers are in, and both sides of the market moved up. 📈

12,723 homes sold statewide in July 2026 — up 2.5% from the 12,411 sold in July 2025.
Median sale price: $285,000, up 3.6% from $275,000 a year earlier.
Active listings: 39,641, up 3.5% from 38,252.

More inventory and more closings at the same time is a healthier read than either number on its own.
