Global Cleveland

Global Cleveland recently had the honor of spending time with the Swiss delegation (Consulate General of Switzerland in New York) as they met with Northeast Ohio leaders at the Cuyahoga County Executive office, including Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne .

The discussion at the County was focused on how Northeast Ohio could better engage with Switzerland, and what sectors/institutions would be best to connect with. The group discussed international connection possibilities; particularly on economic matters.

We are so grateful to be in the room where these incredible conversations happen. Through dedicated conversations like these, we continue to strengthen our workforce, economy, and region!

Today is World Refugee Day 🕊️

The Global Cleveland team joined the Refugee Services Collaborative of Greater Cleveland for their annual World Refugee Day picnic! The evening was filled with great food from local restaurants, fun activities, and numerous giveaways to celebrate our welcoming community and partners.

Together, we can make Northeast Ohio a place where those seeking asylum and safety feel welcomed.

Global Cleveland proudly celebrates and commemorates Juneteenth. ❤️💛💚

Juneteenth is a national celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers announced that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it could not be implemented in places still under Confederate control.
