The 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month theme, “Unidos, Somos Más: Together, We Are More,” reminds us that our collective strength comes from the power of our communities standing together. For LGBTQ+ Latine people, unity means honoring the diversity within our cultures, uplifting voices too often overlooked, and recognizing that every story, identity, and contribution makes our community stronger. This month, we celebrate the connections that bring us together and the power we create when we move forward as one. Unidos, somos más.

This a woman who wrote the theme song to Transamerica. A movie of one person’s struggle to be their authentic self. Dolly never discriminated always extended a helping hand. She will be missed. She always led with love!

This past Sunday, PFLAG Cleveland hosted our Annual Family & Friends Picnic and had the privilege of honoring our 2026 Jes Sellers PFLAG Cleveland Scholarship recipients. We would like to congratulate Marian Hernandez, DePree Henderson, Peighton Taylor, and Isaac Woofter on their achievements both in academics and LGBTQ+ activism. We are proud to be able to recognize these hardworking students and wish them all the best as they continue on in their studies. Go forth, and lead with love!
