Bad news/GOOD NEWS at Pinwheel Gallery

First, the bad news. While the Gallery was closed between shows somehow a wayward chunk of concrete found its way inside, forcefully, through one of the front windows. We can’t be sure how that happened, but it came in with such power that it landed in the other room! We have a window professional coming to take a look and give us an estimate for replacement tomorrow before the Opening Reception.

Which leads us right into the GOOD NEWS! No art was harmed in the incident! The Opening Reception of "For the Love of the Land" is still happening as planned, Friday, June 5th from 5:30 to 8pm! Yay!!!!

There may be a replaced window tomorrow, but there may not. The Gallery operates on a shoestring budget, and there may need to be a delay in repairs depending on the estimate. So if you have wanted some new art for your walls, come on by! If you have friends, bring them! If you have co-workers tell them about the show! We wouldn't exist without your patronage, and we appreciate you so very much. We always say that we can't wait to see you walk through the Gallery door, and that is the truth!

So many fantastic artists are a part of this year's summer group show! We can't tag them all here, but stay tuned throughout the show we will be introducing each and every one of them!

If you can't wait for an online introduction - come to the Opening Reception Friday June 5th from 5:30-8pm and meet these people in person!

What part of the planet are you drawn to? What space moves you? Is It the macro or the micro? The horizon of mountains and clouds? The water-eroded stripes of desert hills? A drop of water on a flower? The feel of the rich soil growing your food? The Cleveland skyline? There is no wrong answer! This planet is awesome in the original sense of the word - something that fills us with awe.

In a completely not-looking-to-enhance-our-effing-algorithm-because-that-is-really-icky, if you want to comment below and tell everyone what part of our world really moves you, or if you love them all so very much you can't choose (also acceptable) please go ahead.

The Opening Reception of the summer show is coming up! Join us from 5:30pm-8pm on Friday, June 5th, and see which parts of the planet these 30 artists have created love notes to!

Until the opening, the Gallery will be on a bit of a break between the shows, so we will be looking forward to seeing all of you in June!
