Moments before the first look - when anticipation, excitement, and nerves collide.

First looks are great and honestly, one of my favorite parts of the day. Not only do you get a chance to get all the jitters out, but you get to have a moment with your person before the busy parts of the day. And you are able to get a lot of your photos done so you can enjoy cocktail hour with your closest friends and family!

But the real reason why I love first looks is because I get to see the couple be completely themselves in that moment. No one else around. No rushed moments. Just two people - happy, joyful, and completely in love.

It’s moments like this that really put a smile on my face on a wedding day - I’m honestly a sucker for witnessing the genuine connections shared between couples. And the best part? Every couple’s connection is different and special in their own unique way!

How lucky am I to get to be a small part of these days? Hearing how they met, the proposal stories, and all the little details in between - it truly never gets old.

Hidden details are always such a joy to discover. I can’t help but smile when seeing the little details that couples incorporate into their wedding days.

There’s just something about green that always reminds me of spring and the renewal of life itself.

After what felt like a crazy long winter, the trees are finally starting to peek through with some green leaves, the birds are back to singing their joyous songs, and the sun is up longer - dancing in the sky.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t view greenery in weddings as “just filler.” I feel like it’s a subtle promise that there are still parts of the couple’s life together that haven’t come into full bloom yet.

Your wedding day isn’t just the best day of your life - it’s the beginning of all the best things that are yet to come.
