Inside The Work:
A Conversation with
Richard Tuschman & Anne Kelly
Thursday, Oct. 23
8PM–9PM ET
I’m thrilled to announce that this Thursday evening I will be participating in Santa Fe Workshops’ collection of free online events, “Creativity Continues”, featuring yours truly in conversation with art advocate, Anne Kelly.
The conversation will trace my creative path, from my early influences through my three major series, Hopper Meditations, Once Upon A Time in Kazimierz, and My Childhood Reassembled. We will explore my cinematic storytelling techniques and the common emotional threads connecting all three projects. In addition, I will share a glimpse of my latest work.
We will end our evening together with a Q & A session with the webinar audience. Hope to see you there!

This workshop will introduce a roadmap for realizing your creative potential as a visual artist. Together we will explore step-by-step techniques, tools, and strategies that will foster long-term growth for visual professionals at all stages of their careers. While rooted in contemporary scientific research, these strategies and techniques have been instrumental in my own decades-long artistic practice.
Reviewing and discussing student work will be part of our process, thus everyone will be asked to submit examples from a past or current project (any visual medium, not limited to photography).
Classes will be recorded and available to registered students for one month following the course.

For the past six years my cousin, photographer Mark Tuschman, has been hard at work on a personal documentary project, "Together We Rise: Immigrants in America." He has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the publishing of a beautifully designed book of the same name. The book, through sensitive portraits and personal narratives, presents the stories and contributions of numerous immigrants from all walks of life and numerous countries. It is a powerful response to the widespread anti-immigrant rhetoric in our political culture. I urge you to check out the link below, and please support the fundraising campaign, as I have, if you can.
