We had a service call today for a “gurgling noise” at the air handler. This is a new system, the installing company couldn’t get to it. A large company from Tulsa was called out before us and tried telling them it was “contaminated refrigerant” and they needed to recharge the system with new refrigerant, upwards of $2,000.00. We tested in and tested out and charged the system to spec. It was low from an extended lineset at installation. Gurgling disappeared once we fed the Txv with a full column of refrigerant. No signs of contamination.
Be mindful of the large out of town companies that do not have your best interests in mind or the knowledge, resources, and expertise to actually fix a system. These are also the companies who don’t help with the schools, little leagues, non profits, pounds, and etc…Mannford and Cleveland have several very good companies from one man companies up to companies with multiple vans and manpower.

Testing versus guessing…
Big shout out to Christian and Max, knocked another out of the park. These young men are speaking a language that most HVAC technicians and HVAC companies will never learn. Big words like:
1. “TESP”
2. “pressuredropacrossthefilter
3. “microngauge”
4. “Properdesigninstallandcommission”
And
5. “howdoyoumakeaspace”

Our new employees are showing promise but they have pretty short attention spans. These “play breaks” are becoming an issue
These Rheem/Ruud condensers are still the best in history, little tanks!

⛄️ 🥶 Cold weather tips!!
Friday and through the weekend our area is expecting to see bitter cold temperatures and forecasts of substantial snow. It is forecasted to be below freezing until Tuesday.
Heating systems and homes, properly designed in our area, are not designed for extended cold periods such as this and your heating system may work harder than usual — especially overnight.
A few quick tips to stay comfortable:
• Raise your thermostat 2–3° before the coldest nights
• Turn off thermostat setbacks (avoid big nighttime drops)
• Change your furnace filter if it’s due
• Keep garage doors closed & limit opening exterior doors
• Make sure vents aren’t blocked by furniture or rugs
• Open sink cabinets on exterior walls to help protect pipes
Keep warm, check on neighbors, and let is know if you need a hand.
