Pens Go Round

This is the first time I made a pen out of chola wood. I really enjoyed it! This is going to a good home tomorrow. Can’t wait to hand deliver it!

I have been holding onto this wood for almost a year and a half. I haven't been at the wood lathe in almost a year to make a pen. Due to a number of reasons. However, today, I got to write out some letters and decided I needed to treat myself. In July of 2021 my wife and I took a vacation and we took a (by accident) but it was an amazing experience and I got to see their hand and cnc lathes. I asked if it was possible to buy just a blank to make my own mini bat, but they weren't allowed. However they were able to give me a few scraps left over from their pro line of maple baseball bats. Well the wood in this pen came from one of those scraps. I am so happy how it turned out and so happy that I got back at the lathe! But I'm back! Hit me up for a custom order!

Got some lathe time in today and got to make a few pens and getting caught up on my back log. Felt great to crank out these beauties! 💎

Love these closed end pens! It's a great and fun challenge! This features a pilot rollerball cartridge but would work with any major rollerball ink. Made with Stainless Steel. I'm a little jealous and think that this one came out it better than mine. The metal was made by Bow & Harrow Workshop and the acrylic made by McKenzie Penworks. Polished up with Made with 💎

It's been too long since I've gotten into the shop. 1 pen made 4 more prepped! Family stuff and beginning of the school year for this teacher has gotten in the way! I'm excited for this one to be on the way to its new home!

This is a brand new style of pen to me! Even though it doesn't look like it this does have a kit. But it's what's known has a closed end pen. I've had this kit since sometime in 2020 I believe. As soon as I got this blank, it's one of my favorites by I knew this was the match I wanted. This kit by required me to learn some new skills and some additional tooling. So worth it! There was no sun out when I took the pics/vids but the shine from is certain it present! Those and pop! Thanks for the beautiful blank!

Got the chance to spend some time at the lathe with my daughter today. She got to take advantage of my ring blanks today! I also had to remake myself one. I learned a lot from the last time and am now confident enough to say I am selling rings now!

Who is interested in some rings???? The material has been made by and includes real after I make one for me out of the middle piece I should have enough for 3 of the pink and silver, 2 of the middle and 3 of the blue glitter.
