This situation has been a really rough one, but I'm glad to hear that so many animals were saved. There's a lot of tragic details to the story, but let's focus on what can be done for the many animals that are having to be seen and treated, fed and cared for. If you are able to donate or help I ask that you consider doing so. Knowing how much it costs just for a single rats health care, the expenses will be in the 5 digits easily for this rescue.

Happy National Hot Sauce Day! A look at the sauces and ferments I made in 2024 and am finishing processing and bottling currently. It's cold outside, but there's no shortage of warmth here.

Just a small harvest from last night. The reapers are all starting to ripen with many new peppers growing as well.

Finally a bit more of a substantial harvest, but still just the start.

Our last couple small harvests, but there's a lot of pods getting ready to ripen.

Bleeding Bubblegum 7 × Bhut Jolokai almost ready to harvest. I normally wouldn't leave a pepper to grow on such a small plant but I got them with the peppers already half way ripe so gave it time to finish. These are gorgeous with the bleeding calyx!

First harvest of the season, not all fully ripe or even at all but they needed to be harvested so the plants could focus on growing more. We have some jalapenos, cayenne long slim and whippets, super chillies, Sugar Rush Peach Stripe, a tiny unripe ghost, and what I believe are a unripe choc or red habanero, an almost ripe scorpion oddball and an unripe scorpion or choc scorpion.
Monster Ranch was always intended to be a branching world of exotics, and that includes flora as well as fauna.

Our YB Enchi Pastel Pinstripe from our first clutch in 2022. This boy is being size and hopefully will produce some beautiful animals in the future!

Our first clutch in the monsoon project hatched out last week, and we couldn't be more excited! By the looks of things we have three possible hets and one that looks fairly average. With monsoon testing on the horizon it hopefully won't be too long until we know for sure.

Our first clutch started crawling out of their eggs this morning. It wasn't a perfect clutch, but those are some strong het monsoon markers on the first girl that's out.

Happy Mother's Day! Our first clutch of the season greeted us this morning. I see some nice head markers for het monsoon, super excited for this project.
