Cleaning up, connecting, and building pride in the neighborhood we call home.

Join us Saturday June 6th from 10 - 1pm at Wade Park Elementary School for a community cleanup in Hough as neighbors come together to care for the place we call home.

We'll be cleaning streets, green spaces, and shared community areas while connecting with one another and building pride in our neighborhood. Whether you can stay for an hour or the entire event, every helping hand makes a difference.

Bring your gloves, comfortable clothing, and a friend if you'd like. Cleanup supplies will be available.

This is more than a cleanup—it's an opportunity to invest in our community, meet your neighbors, and help create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming Hough for everyone.

All ages are welcome. We hope to see you there!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐄𝐎𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝

May 2nd marked the successful conclusion of the Famicos Foundation Youth Entrepreneurship Program with an inspiring Pitch Competition at St. Thomas Aquinas School. We are absolutely blown away by the work these students not only put into the program but also the 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 businesses that they are looking to build.

Watching these 𝟖𝐭𝐡-𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 present their business models was a powerful reminder of what happens when we provide our youth with the right tools and mentorship to chase their dreams. The 𝟏𝟑-𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 challenged students to think critically about identifying market gaps, operational structure and costs, financial literacy and how to present their business to potential funders.

What resulted was absolutely 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝-𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠. Our winner, 𝐏𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬, put on a presentation that was so detailed that she began to map out a 5-year projection of her business. Yes, you read that right. In a matter of 13 weeks, Peyton went from concept to full blown business mapping. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝟏𝟒 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐥𝐝?

We are immensely proud of these young entrepreneurs. They didn't just learn about business; they began their journey as economic drivers for our community.

I would like to take a moment to thank:

· Sarah Dobransky from Cleveland Public Library
· Manny Hall from Manny Hall & Associates
· Tanya Johnson from the Home Resource Center at Famicos Foundation
· Christopher L. Henderson, MPA from Life Anew Behavioral Health, Inc.
· Naomi Jia from MidTown Cleveland, Inc.
· LaTrese Steplight, CSBC from JPMorganChase
· The one and only Tali Collins (Merdler) from St. Thomas Aquinas School.

Without your work none of this would have been possible. Our community is in such a better place due to your commitment to this program.

I would be remise if I didn’t give a special thanks our sponsor JPMorganChase for believing in this project. With your support, we are not only changing the lives of youth in our community but the fabric of entrepreneurship.

Please join as we celebrate the accomplishments of these young entrepreneurs.

The Future of Business is Bright in Our Neighborhood

The Famicos Foundation Youth Entrepreneurship Program sponsored by JPMorganChase is officially molding the leaders of tomorrow. Over the past three months, 8th-grade students from St. Thomas Aquinas School have been hard at work mastering the core fundamentals of business, everything from market analysis to operations. They even took a course in personal financial literacy.

These students haven't just been sitting in a classroom—they’ve been building the foundations of real-world companies. They have dedicated their time over this 13-week course to learn how to become successful business owners and drive economic growth right here at home.

Tomorrow, all of their hard work and creative marketing strategies will be put to the test at our upcoming Pitch Competition! We invite you to join us as these young CEOs compete to show how their ideas will shape the future of our marketplace.

Join us in wishing these aspiring entrepreneurs good luck tomorrow!

Manny Hall

How do you stay "top of mind" when the world is changing so fast? You adapt.

This week, Famicos Foundation hosted the first session of our marketing workshop series with . It wasn't just a lecture—it was an interactive workshop with real world tools. Entrepreneurs walked away with fresh insights on social media engagement and website optimization that they could put to work the moment they got back to their shops.

Supporting the growth of our small business community is at the heart of what we do. Seeing these owners leave with the confidence and the data to grow their businesses is exactly why we show up.
